I'm not the only user. We have multiple disciplines with differing needs.

Meeting with power users sounds like a great idea.

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm looking into standardizing CAD standards where I work.

If you have any resources to reference for general guidelines on how to do this, please share.

I'm sure their are many ways to apply standards. I would like to hear your favorite ways of doing it.

Do you have a collection of templates per discipline that provide for specific needs?

Can the tool pallet be used to just drag and drop templates?

I've heard of but am not familiar with the design center. Is this a great tool to build from?

Will be discussing exactly what we want and need soon, but before we do I want to get a good idea of what is available.

Thanks all!

Are you the only one at your work that uses AutoCAD?

If not, the first think you do is get the power users over there to share with you what works for them, and what doesn't, then you all discuss the details you've posted here. Then you can come back here for help filling in the gaps or guidance on what to add/or drop based on your findings.

You do not want to do this alone and ignore everyone at the company: your "standards" will just go on a shelf/trash bin and be ignored forever. That's a reality everywhere.

As for DesignCenter, start AutoCAD, type ADC hit <enter> and explore. Tap that HELP button if you get stuck.
