Copying and labelling circles

Hi,

I am not trained in CAD at all but I have been asked to use AutoCAD to insert lots of coloured circles like in the attached picture all around a site map and label them as shown in the below picture. I have been trying to copy and paste the circles I have made in AutoCAD but it is a slow and frustrating nightmare as I can't seem to place them wherever I like. Is there an easy way to do this and label them? I am using the 2018 version.

First, make sure your object snapping is turned off (press F3).

Also, make sure your grid snap is off (type SNAP <RETURN> OFF <RETURN>)

Then, instead of using copy/paste, use the copy command (type CO).

This allows you to place copies one after the other continuously until you have enough, then you can exit the command.
