new layer. base point copy the original path, paste to new layer, select the copy, TRIM off the excess to leave the path, do the array and turn off the new layer. leaves the original path line and the array in the .dwg

While using path array, I need the objects to be placed along the path but not from the end of the path but from a user defined point. Lets say I need the object to be placed starting from the midpoint of the path, how do i achieve this?
The base point option places the object from the end of the path, so that is a no go!!!!

Sorry I forgot to mention it earlier, but the objects are to be separated by a fixed distance in my case and it seems like the start offset doesn't work in the measure method.

Although I found a walkthrough by first setting it to divide and specifying the start offset, then changing the method to measure and specifying the distance. But I would like to know if there is any direct solution for it.

P.S. Thanks for the idea 😉 @ilia.borisov
