TTF Text prints as selectable in PDF ONLY when in paper space

Hello,

I'm facing this weird problem recently with my Autocad 2020. The text fonts I use are all TrueType, with width factor = 1.00 and oblique angle = 0.00. The texts I have in paper space with a given Text Style become selectable/searchable when I print in PDF (Microsoft Print to PDF plotter). However, in the SAME file, the texts that I have with the SAME Text Style become non-selectable/non-searchable when they are in model space (i.e. inside a ViewPort). It looks like they are recognized as image ONLY when they are inside a viewport. (I already tried very simple fonts such as Arial and had the same problem.)

In the attached screenshot, it's even possible to see the difference between the texts. The bottom one is inside a viewport and when I zoom out I notice it looks bolder than the one on paper space (top one). I already checked the plotter settings and it is set up to print TrueType Text as Text (see screenshot of the Plotter Settings attached as well).

I hope someone has a solution for this because I'm tired of transferring all my texts from model to paper space (what does not solve the problem for dimensions and multileaders).

Share your DWG and we have not to guess.

And also your PDF

(You talk about DWG and PDF but the upload ist just a raster image, thats not perfect for help.

1. Make sure it is the same: copy your Layout Mtext to Model, try it again.

If still a problem:

Perhaps the the view is not set up well (for this goal).

Create new Layout, two new viewports.

VisualStyle 2D Wireframe in both

In one viewport do this:

UCS object

Select this mtext

PLAN current

Try it again

For plot: Disable Transparency plot.

AND: Selectable means Searchable, yes?

CTRL+F can not find the text?

Do you have a normal drawing with text in both modelspace and paperspace, not a test' drawing but a drawing you consider to be a deliverable? If you do, print it to hardcopy. Is the difference noticeable on both the hardcopy and on your monitor?

I have seen this happen numerous times. It occurs while viewing on 'some' monitors but not on hardcopies.

Thank you for your prompt reply @cadffm and sorry for my delay in getting back to you.

So, I couldn't share the files I was working on because they were classified in he project I'm working. I was willing to create another random drawing just to show what was happening, but I noticed something you said about the UCS and I decided to try one last thing. Let me explain: in that original drawing, I had created a UCS to make the objects parallel to XY axis without having to rotate it in order to not lose the original coordinates, everything in 2D wireframe. So, based on your comment, I copied everything to a new drawing file and rotated it, working only in WCS, and IT WORKED! So, I know it was not exactly what you suggested, but thank you!

Before posting the question, I had tried the things you suggested such as to create new viewports in 2d wireframe, but it hadn't work because of the UCS I think.. Now my question is this: isn't it possible to make texts searchable in PDF if they are plotted in a UCS different from WCS even though they are in 2D wireframe?

And yes, I mean searchable texts when you can find them with CTRL+F in PDF files.

Thank you for your reply @ChicagoLooper . Unfortunately this wouldn't work for me because all my deliverables are digital, I have to submit them in PDF, not a hardcopy. And yes, the problem occurred in one of my deliverable drawings.
