No created page setups in template visible after create new drawing

I have a drawing template with about ten page setups in it. If I open this on one PC with AutoCAD 2023 or 2024, this is not a problem and I can see all these page setups in the page setup manager.

I am currently working temporarily on a PC with AutoCAD 2021. If I now open a new drawing and select this template here, no page setup is visible here. I only see the name of a page setup I created behind *layout1*", *layout1*(A1) in this case.

If I open the template directly from Windows Explorer, the page setups are also not visible.

If I now save my template on my one PC as a 2018 drawing (not as a template), and then open it in 2021, all page setups have disappeared here too.

Does anyone have an idea why the page setups disappear?

Either your AutoCAD2021 is opening the same named file (but it is not the actual new 'same name' file with all the pagesetups), or your AutoCAD2021 is completely damaged and needs a full removal and re-install plus all the updates.

I suspect the former being the likely issue: share your DWT that woks everywhere but in 2021 here an we can confirm or find other issues if they exist on your behalf.

I have added the drawing template to this reply for you.

Below you can see all created page setups in this template. There are also all layer filters in the layer properties manager. These were also gone in AutoCAD 2021.
That these filters are not visible in 2021 is not a big problem. With 1 lisp command they are all created again.

ps. the template I made is saved in the default AutoCAD set "drawing template file location". When making a new drawing I always select this and not a template from another file location.

ALL layerfilters and pagesetups are visible in my 2021, if I open the .dwt and also if I create a new file based on this template!

What productversion you are using? My tested version is 2021.1.3, what is not the current one, but the updated LT-Version works too.

I will not ask why you edited standards (acad.dwt), instead of create your own stuff (individual names),

you don't have benefits by using standard (names) for your custom stuff, it only increases the possibility of causing unnecessary problems.

Any difference if you run in AutoCAD 2021 the PAGESETUP command, select the Import button and then locate & select the template file?

Note: In the Select Page Setup from File window make sure at the bottom the “Files of Type:” shows Template (*.dwt).

After you select your template to open, do the page setups now show up in this list?

@sander.van.pelt Thanks for the DWT file: no issues here in AutoCAD and LT 2021 on my old laptop with that software still on it, all of your pagesetups are there

That's the strange thing. When I make a new drawing and I select a template other than acad.dwt, there are no page setups present. If I want to import a page setup from my acad.dwt, all the setups I made can be selected and therefore imported.
If I import all page setups from my template into the new drawing, and then save this drawing as a template (.dwt), all page setups disappear again as soon as I make a new drawing with this template....

Next Monday, when I'm back on the laptop where I have to use 2021, I'll check which version is installed.

Because I am only on location on Monday where this laptop is (and also has to stay there) I cannot check which version of AutoCAD 2021 it is at this moment.

What could also possibly cause the problem is that we use an application (Nordined Prequest) within AutoCAD to draw HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), water and sewerage installations.
This starts automatically when starting AutoCAD. Perhaps this program is causing this problem.

I just checked which version I have from 2021. It has not had any updates yet (the info also only shows R.47.0.0 AutoCAD 2021).
This may be the cause of my Page setup problem.

@paullimapa Starting AutoCAD in safe mode also does not solve this problem.

Updating is also not possible for me or I am not authorized to install software/updates on the project I am currently working on.
