Can someone please help. I have a brand new Asus ZenBOOK i7 Core 8GB ram, NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 with max Q design and DirectX 11.

For the first week of using AutoCAD it was perfect no lag or detections. But yesterday it began to lag drawing lines and I fixed it by restoring default graphic settings. The next day I logged on a info icon popped up saying 'Hardware Acceleration turned off, click for more info. it came up Virtual device: gdi15.hdi(software) and said

The card and driver does not meet the minimum requirement.

I turned back on Hardware Acceleration and runs perfectly, but its going to keep happening every day I log back on that ill have to change it?

Hi,

the latest driver from nVidia for GTX-series seems to have issues. I would recommend to install an older version and make sure it is not updated automatically.

@adam.mooreHG545 Give this a try.

By default my AutoCAD doens't have the GRAPHICCONFIG icon at the bottom of my AutoCAD, so click on the 3 lines very bottom right of the screen and check mark graphic preference. It looks like one of the 3 will solve you having to have the warning every time you open AutoCAD.

Looks like you are running the minimum system requirements with the 8gb ram. From my experience large files you work with could have a small lag time problem when you are out of ram. If that happens try a REGENALL, but sadly only restarting AutoCAD helps with performance issues occur and you run out of ram. Circles will sometimes not appear as circles, this happens because a circle has unlimited points defined along the perimeter.

I have run AutoCAD with the Graphic Accelerator turned on and off, I don't work in 3D for my work. But if I reference anything 3D you will notice performance issues.

Let me know how it works for you.
