Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

That seems very annoying. Which version of AutoCAD are you seeing this in?

Was the text typed into AutoCAD, copied in from another program, or a data link? Are you copying using Windows copy (CTRL+C) or the AutoCAD COPYBASE command?

Can you provide the files for testing?

All the best,

I am trying to take a large notes section of a drawing and paste it into another different drawing.

When I paste these notes (MText Boxes) into the other drawing, the font changes and on some lines (its a 1-99 style list) there is randomly an indent after the list number.

Is there a way to fix this without having to go through each and every line, changing the font and realigning the text on the ones that got indented?

text style settings in the destination file will override text style settings from the source file: that's how AUtoCAD works. Could this be your issue? You can't override it, you have to ensure ahead of time all text style match.

Try to make the text portions into a block and then paste the block into the new drawing. Mtext doesn't always cooperate like you want it to. Not a fix but a work around.

That sounds like the most likely cause.
I just formatted the text and fixed the changes.
Thank you
