Select Similar Settings Missing

I'm working in Autocad Architecture 2018 as an upgrade from 2017 Autocad and I'm used to typing the command SELECTSIMILAR, then SETTINGS to toggle these settings. 2018 doesn't have a settings option through either SELECTSIMILAR OR SELECTSIMILAR MODE OR TYPING SE. I even entered the Select Similar mode by # and it appears select similar just does not work in this version of Autocad. Hellpp

i suggest to try REDEFINE command for both commands and see if any changes .
