I know this is late to need but for anyone else wanting to do this there is a way to do it without viewports. If you highlight the table, then properties, change "Manual positions" to Yes. Then each section of the table can be moved by grabbing the pickbox in the upper left hand corner of each table an drag them to the desired location. If you move them from the pickbox the whole table will move, so you must only drag once the pickbox is highlighted.

In fluid system drawings, I use valve lists populated from dynamic block data. I always used table breaks to split the valve list into columns to fit on a drawing sheet.

On my current project, I have a lot of valves and need to split the valve list onto two sheets. I haven't found any tricks for this. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

You could use multiple dataextraction files, each having a filter using layers or attributes, etc. or If you have one table in model space you can use viewports that are tiled to give the appearance of table breaks across multiple layouts.

Without seeing your table and the way you want to sort it's hard to tell.

this image shows two separate tables based on an attribute filter. (filter column is shown for clarity)

Below is one door schedule, first image is model space.

These are viewports displaying the one schedule across multiple windows.
