Hi,

>> the old thread is here

Well, hard to compare 2012 with current version of AutoCAD.

Currently it's hard to show the shadow in hidden-line visual style ... and when you succeeded with this ... shadows are turned of when you start command _PLOT (even without CTB assigned to the layout).

So you'll need to define a different visual style (a rendered one), with white walls to get a result close to your wish.

Sorry to not have a better idea, maybe someone else can help more with this.

Plotting mapped object shadows

I have a sheet with realistic visual style, a sun, and shadows in AutoCAD 2020. The plot and plot preview will not show Mapped Object Shadows. When I change the shadow display to Ground shadows, they do plot. I found an old thread titled "Plotting to PDF with shadows and no face style" where someone is having a similar issue. @Alfred.NESWADBA found that once a .CTB plot style is applied, the shadows will no longer work even if the .CTB is turned off. I am having this issue now, I can not get AutoCAD to plot with mapped object shadows and a custom .ctb was applied in the past. Is there any way to fix this?
