Differences in drawing revisions

I would like to know if there is any simple way to find differences between different revisions of a drawing.ì We are fire contractors and our drawings involve mainly lines (representing pipes). When receiving new revisions of a drawing, there might only be 1 (or many) small changes since the last revision. Now if the sender wasnt kind enough to cloud the changes, we can often miss small alterations. Has anyone dealt with something similar or could perhaps suggest some way to easily pick up differences between 2 revisions of the same drawing ?

depending on your AutoCAD version you can use COMPARE (Command). >> Click <<

I personally xref both files into a blank drawing, then set all layers to one xref one color and so the same to the other xref but choosing another color and changing the linetype if needed. Then I change the draworder as needed to see what pops up.

Or you can use COMPARE command in AutoCAD 2019 or newer, it's the better solution.

To each his own. I don't trust the software to do what is right. If the software was 100% foolproof we wouldn't need these support groups. Just giving the OP another option.

Its not a good option, its just a workaround that relies on specific experience with it (you have a lot of) that they may or may not be able to compare or comprehend fully.

Code for you did not try it? Sure new things are hard to grasp at first and do have a learning curve much like your workaround. I get it.
