i just started to watch this tutorial how to use the action recorder tool but when i start using it it wont record any command and wont play it too.

What version of AutoCAD does ABOUT command list as you having?
And what steps are you taking to record: explain what you do or click on etc.
Or is the problem you're not sure how to play back what you recorded? Please explain how you are doing the playback?

Draw a line

Press Stop

Save the ActionMacro

Delete or move the line,

Play the Macro..

Isn't working?

PLAY works, but recording doesn't.

Share a Screenshot of your command ABOUT dialog, we will try it in the same version.

Hi,

you have a problem in Recording !!! as you notice from MY below image , while recording you have to see in Action Tree all of your moves and actions and that is NOT exist in yours . this is why your Play is not active because there is NO actions already recorded . for Now i suggest to check from your Autodesk Desktop App if there is any updtaes needed .

I did my update couple days ago i don't think that's the problem.

You might need to remove and reinstall the application as your next step.

It doesn't solves this problem if you (don't) think...

And there is no setting, your install is buggy.

Things you can try:

Reset to default

Repair install

Try it as Admin

Whatever it is, it isn't normal and nothing you can change inside the program.

I reinstall my CAD and the action recorder tool works now thanks
