Copy to clipboard failed.

The company I work for use AutoCAD and Carlson Survey seamlessly. (Unable to uninstall)

The "scanned data is a 3D representation of whatever project were working on. (Horizontal and Vertical)

The scanned data is processed through the Cyclone software, then saved as point data in order to be saved into AutoCAD.

The 3D linework created within AutoCAD is saved as a regular .dwg and works fine.

It is then when you either utilize the 3D polylines by saving as another drawing that the error becomes prominent.

I've tried NCOPY, Block and even .dxf, but whatever .dwg is created using the points from the scanned .dwg, you can't copy-paste.

Has anyone received an error while trying to copy-paste from a drawing that has (scanned data) within it?

AutoCAD 2020.1.2

Carlson Software 2020, build 200305

Leica - Cyclone, version 9.4.2 64 bit

Scanner: P40 Leica

Is that all the error message says?

If you unload Carlson, does the problem go away?
is the "scanned data" what exactly, an image? It is attached how to the source file?

Not "uninstall", you should have a profile that runs without it, most of us who install Carlson do that in case there is an issue or we need to run a "clean" setup.

>>>...Copy to clipboard failed....<<<
Read this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-Copy-to-clipboard-failed-when-trying-to-copy-in-AutoCAD.html

Thank you for the reply.

The reason for the error was due to Cyclone using the point cloud.

After installing Leica_CloudWorx_For_AutoCAD_6.5.1_PGR_170919 in conjunction with Administrator rights, I am able to copy-paste. Who knew...
