Hi, Im modeling objects in AutoCAD. All objects in file has been modelled in a AutoCAD 2021. While im doing a union between objects the next error text is generated:

Modeling Operation Error:
Error Code Number is 18028

Im not importing any object. All objects, 2D an 3D objects, where made from zero in AutoCAD

The file is attached so you can help me with this error

Hi,
No, I hadn't seen it, but still I have no blocks in the file. So I don't have much to exploit.
There are only solids and surfaces in the file. Solids were generated by Loft processes and by extrusions. Also use AutoTrim for some gaps.

The surfaces, I converted them to solids by means of Offset and there were no problems

But, I repeat, all objects were created in this file from two-dimensional lines.

I have tried generating the solids by other methods including the use of mayas, although I know it's crazy! But once everything is converted to solids and I try to unite them the error comes.

I get an error code: The Boolean operation on solid and/or surface bodies failed.

Modeling Operation Error: Error Code Number is 18026

First, I did 10000 on Twist and it worked. Now I want 10000 and it will not work. But if I do 8000 it will work but I need the 10000 for look I want to see.

This message is an old one, but it was never really solved so I re-posted my drawing to this one. I am using the SWEEP command with a TWIST at 12000. Then I EXTRUDE a small diameter along the same Path then copy the last one at 0,0 so I don’t lose what I just Extruded. Then I Subtract the smaller extruded part from the twisted part. Error Code 18026 appears. It worked in my other drawing with a straight down and right angle at the bottom (conduit on the right). So, I gave up on the Subtract and said Merge the Twist and Straight and same error code 18026 appears.

My objective is shown in the one on the right. I have a 1” conduit and I made a rectangle and SWEEP TWIST 12000. Then I use a .99 conduit and extrude or sweep that part. Copy that at 0,0. Then I Subtract the .99 from the 1” twisted part. Then I merge the twisted part with the .99 extruded part. All worked for the right side one but not the ones on the left.

So, I do the Twist again on the one in the middle and I get an Error Code 115073 and it won’t twist.

I am using AutoCAD 2025, all updates have been updated. I even went back to 2024 and tried and the same happened.

I know this is a lot to follow. But any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks, JRR.

Pendean,

That is kind of funny. I did not think about being to far from 0,0,0. But I did zoom out and try the command. Many moons ago when trimming siding around down spouts I would stretch the siding 1000’ out, make my cursor super sized and then trim zoomed way way out. The trimming was as fast as I could click… but if zoomed in with 10 Townhomes on a computer with a “Turbo” button back in 1989, it would take forever to trim one line. Zoom way out, fast fast!!

But with that, I was able to now do my Twist of 10,000.. but still bombed out on subtracting and merging the parts together. I even tried smaller 100 to 1. But would not work.

Thanks for the advice.
JRR!
