Too many blocks selected

I copied an item that was a block then pasted it and rotated it to have copies of it in four directions. Now when I select one of the copies, they all are high lighted and I can't delete just one. How do I "unlink" them?

i think here that you use ARRAY command to rotate them , if that is your case and you want to break this group use Explode command .

Actually, it turned out that I was in "edit in place" when I copied them, so all four became part of the same block.
