AutoCAD Attribute: Hyphen invisible when using Alt+0173 (soft hyphen)

In AutoCAD, I created a hyphen using Alt+0173 in a block attribute (TAG1, value should be -F52/1). In the Enhanced Attribute Editor, the value shows the hyphen correctly, but on the drawing screen the hyphen is invisible - I only see "F52/1" without the dash.

I am facing the issue of missing hyphen above. Attached below is the default setting after ACADE 2025 is installed.

Do you suggest to turn off the Suppress dash when first character of tag? If yes i have tried it and outcome as follows - there is 1 dash and 1 missing hyphen in the drawing space:

I am looking for a visible hyphen where it should be located at the center of the tag per example below:

FYI, I am using ACADE 2020 with the following TAG setting but no issue with invincible hyphen in the drawing space.

is there any setting that i need to check?

Your suggestion is much appreciated.

@bryanchanYHRV2 is posting this issue on behalf of vendor's customer which is me. I have replied to @rhesusminus feedback using the solution suggested but it is not working as expected. The soft hyphen is still invincible in the drawing space. You can refer my reply thread to @rhesusminus.

Please run the command GRAPHICSCONFIG and do either one of the following to get the special characters displayed correctly.

1. Turn the hardware acceleration Off

2. Keep it on and change 2D display settings to intermediate mode

May I ask WHY you use the soft hyphen? According to IEC you should use "minus" or "dash" - (Just like IEC specify the usage of plus + and equal 😃
