AutoCad LT vs. AutoCad Electrical

Currently we use AutoCad LT with a custom PASCAL program which puts a predefined 'template' (transformer and fuses, amp and sensors, etc.) into the schematic using simple x-y coordinates. We would like to upgrade to AutoCad Electrical for its many useful features, but still want to use the custom program to create our schematics.

Will our current process still function if we upgrade?

@tmillerHJXMM Why don't you install the trial version of AUTOCADELECTRICAL and find out for yourself with your own tools and your own files to answer that local-to-you need, it's what most of us would do.

HINT: ACADE is not LT in look and feel, be ready for a learning urve

ACADE has many powerful fearures, and there is a lot more to learn, as well as settings and configurations that will be critical to your success when migrating to the software. I highly recommend that you take an introductory class to establish the proper settings and core properties to enable a smooth transition.
