Hi,

There is a walkthrough fix for this here
http://www.aceri.co.uk/Content/Support/TipsAndTricks/AutoCADElectrical/Default.aspx

The one you want is August 2008

Cheers
Hi,

I notice there are 1, 2 & 3 pole circuit breakers but why aren't 4 pole miniature circuit breakers included in the iec2 library.

i know there is a +2nd pole but this isn't really desirable, 4 pole miniature circuit breakers and 4 pole moulded case circuit breakers are what we use mostly.

Would the easiest way be to create a four pole miniature and moulded case breaker from the existing 3 pole ones.

kind regards

Hi.

I guess the easiest way would be to add a new COMMAND to the icon menu, using the icon menu wizard.

See attached picture.
hi,

Yes i guess a new icon on the icon menu would be one of the things to do, but what i'm talking about is an actual iec2 symbol to represent a four pole miniature circuit breaker and a moulded case circuit breaker.

for example you drop in the VCB1 symbol and acade then asks to build to the left or the right; what would be good is to have a version that can do 4 pole mcb's or mccb's

kind regards
Well..

take a look at the picture I attached, and you'll see that this is exactly what you get 🙂

Try typing this on AutoCAD's command line (this is what the button also will do):

(c:ace_multipole "VCB1" 4 nil 0)

Thanks for advice 🙂

I have actually tried this now and read the command you had typed!!
All works ok and i'm well pleased with the result; i didn't even realise you could do this in acade to be honest.
A little gem of a tip!!

kind regards

Excellent!

ACE uses VCB1 for the first pole as the parent of course, and VCB2 for the rest of the poles (pole 2, pole 3, pole 4).

Is it possible to use 3 different blocks:

VCB1 for the first ploe, VCB2 for the second and third pole, and VCB3 for the fourth pole?

Or, 4 different blocks:

VCB1 for the first ploe, VCB2 for the second pole, VCB3 for the third pole and VCB4 for the fourth pole?

Thanks!

Yes. You can mix and match whatever symbols you like:
(c:ace_multipole (list "VPB11" "VPB22" "VPB21" "VPB22") 4 nil 0)
