How can I have multiple drawings with the same page number?

Hi I'm new to autocad electrical. My company has an electrical engineer that's been doing the electrical diagrams for a while and I'm starting to do them as well. He doesn't use the full potential of ACADE, rather he draw lines and text for everything. I want to do thing the smart way to save a ton of time.

For drawings that are a continuation of each other (like input cards in a plc) he will name his sheet 9a, 9b, 9c, etc. I like this a lot because if I see a wire named 9xx I immediately know it's an input signal. the other advantage is that if I want to add a drawing in between, it would shift all the wire numbers of all the drawings downstream and most of the times the machine is mostly done by then. that would mean to change all the wire labels and that's simply not happening.

Is there a way to tell autocad to duplicate a sheet number and maybe add a sufix at the end?

Just give them the same page number. You should be able to name all your pages the same number/name or even keep it blank.

That didn't work. When I run the project-wide update/retag it changes the page number back to the original
