Yup. But I think that maybe Electrical Audit should check this, and give an"issue"...

The terminals X1 and X2 have four terminals.

Terminal Properties X1: 1

Terminal Properties X2: 1

I used the Pick to connect the terminals to the multi-level terminal block X1

I used the Add/Modifi to connect the terminals to the multi-level terminal block X2

Wire numbering error X2

What error?

That's the wire number. If you look up a few images to where you show the X2:1 terminal properties, you can see that the wire number there is also showing as '3' instead of '2'.

The TSE does NOT modify any wire numbers, it uses what is already associated with the wire.

So I would say that there is no mistake in the TSE but in the numbering of the wire (possibly dyslexic fingers) which is a separate process.

If you re-number the wire from '3' to '2' then it will be corrected.

Regards Brad

The problem, really, is in the numbering of wires.
The terminals are connected by jumpers - this means that the connected wires have the same number.
On a simple scheme, this error is easy to detect.
It is much more difficult to fix errors with the numbering of wires in a large project. What solutions are available?

As I said in my previous post, the TSE does not have any ability to change wire numbers.

It reads the existing number of the wire and uses whatever data is there in the columns.

To fix the wrong wire number, you need to go back to the wire and use the Edit Wire Number tool to change the wire number to the correct number.

For wires that are connected through a series of JUMPERED terminals, I make sure the terminals are set as jumpered in the schematic and number the first wire only. On the other wires, I use the Wire Number COPY tool. This means that they are all tied together to the first wire and show that.

The only other thing to make note of is to use the correct terminal type. This is normally the terminal type that passes the wire number along.

Regards Brad

If the terminals are connected by an internal jumper, the wires connected to them must have the same number - this is one electrical circuit.

If you use Pick to connect multiple terminals to one multi-level terminal, the circuit wires are numbered correctly.

If you use Add/Modify, then the circuit wires are numbered with an error.

I'm not able to figure out exactly what's happened here, but the last terminal is missing information.

Here's a screenshot form the project database:

The last terminal is missing the 501-row.

I'm not sure why this happens, but here's a "workaround".

If I copy/paste the block properties in the catalog from/to the same terminal within the TSE, everything is fine. This screencast shows my procedure:

Is the wire numbering set to "per wire basis" in the project parameters?

And, still, you get different sure number on the 4 wires.
Can you post the drawing?

Ah.. So, the problem is, that if you assign wire numbers "manually", by using the edit wire number function, you are able to give the wires different wire numbers, even though they were supposed to be the same, as the terminals are jumpered.

I kind of like the idea that you can FORCE wire number like this, which is what i believe the edit wire number function is for.
BUT.. You really should get some kind of error message somewhere, that says that this is "wrong".

Can be checked the values in column Wire and highlight the detected errors.
