Conduit & Cable Schedule programs

Hi there I'm looking input for updating our company conduit and cable software it needs to be able to be used by the engineering team and the AutoCAD team. We recently purchased elecdes and not really impressed because they don't allow you to have a TO/FROM in the raceway report. I have found a new one called Arries from southwire but don't want to be sold a product any thought from something the industry is using and like using would be appreciated. one thing to keep in mind many projects don't require a 3D model so a program that doesn't require a model would be perfect.

Could you tell us what " elecdes" ? Is that AutoCAD Electrical?

If you are sub customer, you could find Eaton content pack for ACE2018 at autodesk account.

You could run From/To report.

Do you have any link to this Arries software? Maybe contact them, and ask them for AcadE reference customers?

So Elecdes is a 3rd party program that sits on top of AutoCAD and enables you the ability to build 3d models of your raceways, but it also comes with a program that you don't need AutoCAD open to modify the route of your cables.

Yea so Aeries is a BIM software that sits on top of AutoCAD and consists of 3 modules (traymatic, loadmatic and cablematic) I've talked with the sales department with the software and they have shown a webinar and it seems to be a pretty good set of programs. But I was curious what other people were using to produce there cable and conduit schedules.

I have been using the Aeries CARS software program for over 13 years now. I have found that most companies are going 3D. Since the inception of Aeries (GSN) other companies have come up with their version of cable raceway and routing software. None of these other programs compare to Aeries. This program can be completely customized for your individual preferences for reporting purposes. I have looked at a variety of other software, but keep coming back to the Aeries CARS (GSN) software. It does everything you could ask for and then more. LoadMatic for loads, one lines, schematics. CableMatic for cables. TrayMatic for raceway. CM+Bulder for the contractor.

Aeries CARS runs seamlessly with AutoCAD. The training and customer support is fabulous.

I love this software.
