Circuit Breakers tags

Hi,

The IEC menu automatically labels circuit breakers as Q tags. Is this in line with the latest IEC regulations? Does anyone have a list of the latest tags for components used in a schematic diagram.

Try using the IEC-60617 library instead. It should be updated.

Make a notepad file in your project folder called "WD_FAM.dat"

That will override the Family code tag for each component.

the format is: <old Family code>,<the override family code>

Example:

CB, Circuit Breaker

LT, Light

what you see before will be:

LT123, and CB101

after you add the WD_FAM.DAT file it will look like:

Light123 and Circuit Breaker101

In other words, it doesn't matter what library you you use you can kick the symbol tag over to something else.
