Lee, I tried that and it honestly had a negligible effect on the output.

What has been happening is say there are three wires parallel to each other spaced about a 1/2" inch apart two out of the three print via the PDF one thickness and the third prints with a thinner thickness. All three are on the same layer and have a single line weight set for them.

A work around we came up with is to setup a CTB file where we had to change the line weights on individual colors and essentially had to double the line weight to make them look decent and get them to look relatively the same.

Does anyone know of something other than that to resolve this issue? At this point we are not in favor of having to modify pen color line weights since all it takes is one person to make a new layer with say red which we currently have set to 1.2mm and we don't want that geometry on that layer printed that thick.

Thanks,

Brian

Trond, that method still results in having three lines different line thicknesses even through they all are on the same layer. See my post above for the workaround we had to use which is a bit of a hack/hokey way to resolve it. Any ideas on how to do this without modifying the pen color line weights?

It would be nice to see the DWG if you can attach one. But, try to select the thin line, press CTRL+1 and watch the properties. Are the lineweight the same for all three wires?

Trond, I checked all three wires and the line weights were all set to "by layer".

I've attached a couple of drawings. Unfortunately the forum won't let me attached the project related .wdp and .apx files.

I'm using a modified version of the "DWG to PDF" PC3 file.

I attached the H-size one but have maxed out my attachments so I can't attach the D-size version.

So, THIS is what you mean? The first of three wires are thicker than the other two?

If I switch viewer (Adobe Reader in the above image), and use Foxit PDF Reader, it looks correct:

Could it be a problem with adobe reader?
If you print it to paper in adobe reader, does it look correct then?

Unfortunately we are locked in with Nitro by Corporate IT and they don't want any other viewers used (likely a cost and commonality thing). A few of us have Adobe from before they converted over to Nitro but other than that most have Nitro.
