Font issues, changing on their own

After some time searching, I can't quite figure out a solution to my problem....fonts started substituting themselves in client drawings and its causing a headache. When I open the attached sample drawing in 2015, it works just fine and looks just fine. When I open the sample drawing in 2017 it looks like dog crap cause of the font substitution. But where I am hung up is why it is automatically changing the fonts because there is no missing ttf or shx files for these drawings, it just randomly started happening this week.

I have messed with FONTALT and have checked my substitute font stuff, but am getting nowhere.
I have copied the content over to a new drawing and it substitutes the font yet again for some other font but won't use the font style in the drawing provided by the client.
When I go to a different computer and open in 2018 the drawing is perfectly fine as if I opened it in 2015.

Any insight?

Hi there,

Is sounds like you may have a font substitution issue. This link might help you. You have tried everything I would have tried but you may find the silver bullet in one of these as it references 2017 also.

Thanks for this, got it to work. For some reason it switched to acade.fmp and was causing issues as mentioned in that other post.
