If it's always going to be the same number of Diodes, then you can just make one block which includes those diodes & the copper bare with the appropriate connection points on the diodes and a indication for a screw terminal for the wire connected to the bar.

Same if it's just a small number of variations to the number of diodes.

To get all the proper part numbers, you set up a catalogue entry with the appropriate number of diodes as sub assembly items for each variation. Thus you don't loose anything from the BOM.

how to represent copper bar with different section wires

Hi all

Can someone help me to represent this kind of schema ?

and to generate a correct from-to wire report ?

Phisically diode katodes are joint together with a copper bar (no wire number)

snabber RC is connected to katodes "bus bar" with 2,5mm^2 wire

and katodes output are wired 70mm^2

- The easy "visual" solution is like 1st picture, BUT all drawn wires are the same color/wire layer and same number. If edited all wires goes to same layer, can not separate , on real installation different wire section = same wire number but different wire section, and report is not correct for that solution. 😞

- The 2nd solution is to place a "juntion bar", BUT obviosly different conections will be different numbering , and another problem is that if placed "juntion bar" with no wire to katodes, report does not represent/detect that junction. if wire is placed together extra wire numbering is generated. 😞

Can you use the "junction bar" option, and put an internal jumper on it, making sure all wires you want to will receive the same wire number?

If I understand correctly, you want all the 2.5mm2 wires to have the same wire number?

Hi

The problem is not the drawing, just wiring reports.

I am looking to print/report different wire section on same juntion.

- I found solution wiring from component terminal, not drawing junctions on middle wire.

If I use normal angled or juntion point , when one wire is changed (from 2,5 to 4mm^2) all conected wires change its layer to the same section. Drawing is more clear but this is an issue for me.

For example in that diode bridge, I came from power transformer with 35..50..70mm^2 but parallel snabber RC only needs 2,5mm^2 , but junction point is the same and wires must share same number. Sure you understand.

- in case of drawing a block, the problem is all parts has its factory internal code when purchase , and a block has only a CAT description.

Probably it is better with new drawing method/rules , but can not change that rules because it affect other departments.

So, you have several wires, of different sizes, that all should connect to the same connection point. And, they should all have the same wire number?

If you draw like this, you can have different "wire types"/busbars and keep the same wire number for them all:

Looks good in the reports as well:
