Adding new PLC modules: PLC database and Default database

I successfully added a 5069 module to the PLC Database.

3 questions:

How do I get it to break if it runs out of ladder lines?

Can I edit the component and tell it to break?

Do I have to ALSO add it to the default DB, because its not showing up in there?

Question 1:
I'll assume you mean create a break on your PLC after its been drafted. Using the split PLC command would be useful.

I inserted the new PLC module into the drawing.

I even created the footprint for the panel layout.

I could not get the footprint lookup to act right, unless I added the same module info to the ACE_DEFAULT.mdb.

is this normal, or did I create the new module incorrectly?

I’m looking for AB’s mdb.

so I don’t have to add each model.

I would rather have to add old slck500, than add the new ones. Because nobody builds out SLCK anymore.

its the same answer for the Footprints as it is for the parametric PLCs and the schematic PLC database. I wish I had a better answer but I do not.

I would say lets start a github to make an updated database, but I wouldn't be suprised if folks would fight over the right way to configure the footprints, schematic symbols, and PLC database.
