I'm not an expert by far. I prefered the Autodesk offering until end of life and sadly I've already forgotten it's name. OBSs studio for recording works well followed by cropping and editing using microsoft clipchamp. In a pinch you can record a zoom, teams, goto session. I'm a caveman when it comes to all things recorded but have included a quick sample.

3D Orbit Capture

Greetings-

Is there a way to do a 'motion capture' of rotating my model using the 3D Orbit tool so that I could email this little snippet? Setting up cameras and getting a precise walk-around is not what I need. Sometimes I Zoom with a client and share screen and then I'll show them all the sides of the model by merely using a realistic display and then I 3D Orbit around it and they can see all the sides or roof or whatever and we can just stop and talk about it in real-time from any angle...that works fine at this preliminary stage of design and is a great tool.

But it would be nice to do a quick little 3D Orbit on my own, and capture that and email it to them without having to get back together over Zoom, etc.

I hope I've explained this well enough...is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks!

Scott

Windows 10-11 have screenshot capture and screen video recording tools already present, and there are 3rd party better and free/low cost to do the same: are those not options for you?
