Hello,

I designed an upholstered furniture with curved surfaves. When I generate sections or elevation I'll see the invisible edges on curved surfaces!

Is there a way to get the same result as the object viewer hidden line (or shaded with edges)?

2nd question. is there a way to control how many steps the surfaces are tesselated? The outline is not verry smooth!

Anny help apreciated, thank you!

Top View

Elevation (too many edges visible)

Result of the object viewer.

Sorry, I have to be clear: I used solids not surfaces!

1. go to the application menu (the big A on the top left corner of the application window) then,

2. at the bottom (under the list of the last opened files) click on the options button,

3. in the options window choose the second tab (Display) containing the display options,

4. on the right side at the middle, inside he group "display performace" check the last option called "Draw true silhouettes for solids and surfaces".

This should do the job.

hope it helps

P.S. oops, sorry I forgot to add that fifth step:
5. You have to refresh your section to see the objects drawn with silhouettes. (as section objects are not updated automatically)

Yes.

Almost at the same place:

1. go to the application menu (the big A on the top left corner of the application window) then,

2. at the bottom (under the list of the last opened files) click on the options button,

3. in the options window choose the 15th tab (Aec Objects Settings),

4. on the left side at the middle, inside he group "Aec display resolution" reduce the number of the "Facet deviation".

5. refresh or regen your section.

This should work just keep in mind2 things:

a. This is a perfile option, meaning that you have to do the same setting to all concerned files (or include in you template file)

b. Reducing alot this number will cause a slower performance (so just test the results to see what is the minimum number required)

hope it helps
