Dynamic block Constraint rotation issue

I'm trying to make a SIP panel with a plumb cut on the peak and eave. I have it constrained so when rotated to different roof pitches the plumb cut changes automatically.

for the total length of the cut we measure as show, so i want the stretch/dimensional constraint to work in the same way. but whenever I add the constraint it locks it and doesn't rotate.

any help on how to get this to work would be appreciated

note: all the white lines will be construction lines and turned off, i just have those on right now to see what's happening easier.

I would recommend removing the parameters and actions and work out the issue using constraints only. It's recommended to use either action parameters or constraints and not together. I've modified your dwg to make the action work at a basic level. Have you posted this to the dynamic block forum?

thank you, I'm kind of new to using the forum, I probably forgot to select the right one.

I have it working with about how i want it now, similarly to how you did it, but the hatch will not rotate with the block anymore, is there a way to get that to rotate too?

sorry if any of these questions are obvious, I'm new to using constraints for autocad.

Nothing wrong with posting here. Just wanted to point out that the people over in the dynamic forum are VERY helpful. They like to help work things out and even improve on your idea. I have a test block that adjust several aspects of hatch pattern in blocks with one being the rotation angle. see attached.

thank you. I'll have to put a thing on that forum, everything works about how I intend it too now, besides the hatch thing. for whatever reason the constraints cant interact with hatches.
