Perfect thank you
Currently door and windows are scheduled as they are inserted, is it possible to have them schedule when you tag them? We have options such as an optional bay window, I don't want the windows scheduled unless they are selected by the buyer. I would tag them if they are selected by the buyer subsequently scheduled.

Thanks

We have several Cities that want us to include the area of windows and doors in our window and door schedules. The schedules will have the following columns. Mark, Quantity Size Area they will be grouped so each size will be on a seperate line. I have set up formula property sets in the past but not including the quantity in the formula. Is this possible to set up this way?

Yes you can......I dont have ACA in front of me so cant give you guidance at the moment.

From memory, I believe you can add a quantity column.

David will be posting soon with the solution

You cannot do it in a formula property, as the quantity will not be available there, but it can be done in the Schedule Table. Add a quantity column to collapse all scheduled items with identical values in the scheduled properties onto a single line, with the total number in the quantity column, and then add a formula column. These work similar to formula properties, but have a button called Insert Quantity, which will make the value in the quantity column available in your formula for use in the calculation.

You can add a classification to the window and door style PSD such as "optional" and "purchased" and filter the schedules accordingly.

It will need to be scheduled when the buyer selects the option. And easy for our drafters to schedule.

Whether or not a particular object is included in the selection set of a Schedule Table is independent of whether or not it is tagged. Unless you are comfortable with writing a "reactor" program (I am not), I do not know of a way to have the act of tagging an object either affect whether it is included in the selection set of a particular Schedule Table or change the classification status of an object so that it would be shown in a Schedule Table for which it was previously selected, but was excluded based on the classification status. I am not even sure that an object initially selected but not shown due to its classification would be added if you manually changed the classification (without re-selecting or adding additional objects).

The best I can quickly come up with would be to have a customization that could be run and allow the drafter to select objects and have those objects set to the "include in schedule" classification, and then have another tool that, when run, would allow the drafter to select the schedule and have the selection set be redone to include all objects of the applicable object type(s), and relying on having the classifications set correctly to include the ones you want and exclude the others.
