CTB PLOT STYLE PRINTING IN COLOR

Once again, AutoCAD Architecture is a moving target for me. I'm trying to plot a sheet in monochrome using a .ctb file. It has worked well up until now. I plot to .pdf with a custom plot style, but I can't get it to plot in monochrome with proper line weights. I have attached my plot screen.

It's probably something simple that I have forgotten to do. I would appreciate any help you would like to offer.

What colors are you using in your file? Are they all AutoCAD Color Index colors (colors 1 - 255). Any "true colors" will plot with that color; true colors do not support plot styles.

We cannot see what settings you have in your custom DDD PLOT STYLE.ctb file. CTB files can plot in color, if they are set to do so. If the Color that is set for each pen in a CTB file is not set to Black, then you will either get the color specified, or, if Use object color is chosen, you will get the object color, which will only be Black for the Color 7 pen.

Here is a screen shot of my DDD Plot Style. I don't see anything different from yours. Either I have some other setting wrong or this software has a personal vendetta against me. Do you have any other suggestions?

I just realized I don't have 'Use assigned pen #' and 'Virtual pen #' set to 'Automatic' like yours are. Could this be the issue?

My plot table settings work fine in 2D, but not in 3D. I guess I'll just redraw it in 2D.

Are you plotting a paperspace view of your model with a hidden visualstyle? If so you are correct that you 3d view will only plot in color. That is a rendered view which is different than wireframe. The below elevation is extracted from the model. The "colors" of lines are determined by the elevation style and will plot as a 2d drawing.

So, as long as I plot from an elevation line or a section line, my ctb plot settings work fine. That makes all the difference in the world. Thank you so much! I can go back to using my 3D drawings.

Ok, I'm in panic frustration mode right now.

Would someone please help me. I need to send some drawings to my customer, but once again, I don't know how to plot in black and white. I have included the entire file for this job in hopes that you can tell me where I'm going astray. R_Tweed said that I need to extract the elevation so I can plot it using a ctb file. I have looked everywhere on line and in the help files for how to extract the drawings. Please remember that I am floundering, so please keep it extremely simple and don't assume I know anything.

While in paperspace click in each view and change the view setting from conceptual to 2d wireframe.

Thank you, thank you Mr. Tweed. That was so simple, but nobody would just say, "click in the layout and change it from conceptual to wireframe". Thank you for making it simple for me.
