Modify stairs path circle and arrow

Hi,

see screen capture.

What dimension styles controls the huge circle at the beginning and end of the stairs path?

"Stairs_I" and "AEC_Leader_Dot_I" do not work.

Where is this documented?

Hi @gsucci,

This dot is controlled by whichever dimension style your stair object is using. You can change the symbol as follows:

Enter the DIMSTY command.
Choose the dimension style that your stair references and choose Modify...
On the Symbols and Arrows tab, adjust the Arrowheads > First setting to use whichever symbol you'd like to use.

now, how do you tell what dim style is my stairs using?

In its properties I cannot see any dimension styles specified.

It is not a property of a specific stair (unless you applied an object-level display override), but is a display setting.

Select your Stair, right click and choose Edit Object Display from the context menu.
In the Object Display dialog, choose the Display Properties tab, if it is not already current.
Make note of the Display Representation(s) listed in bold (active in the current display), and the associated Display Property source. Since we are talking plan views, based on your image, you are likely using the Top View direction, and one of the "Plan" Display Representations is active. In my sample file, the Plan Display Representation is the only active one, and the source is Drawing Default. Assuming that is the case for you, and you want to have any changes apply to all Stairs without a style-level or object-level display override, select the Edit Display Properties button in the upper right corner. Do NOT select the toggle in the Object Override column, unless you only want to change the settings for this stair, and you are willing to place an object override to achieve those results.
In the Display Properties dialog, choose the Other tab. In the Arrow area at the bottom, set the desired Dim Style.
