topic How to modify error message ? in AutoCAD Architecture Customization Forum

Dear forum members,

We use spaces to represent windows. Sometimes we need the surface of the opening part of the window. For that we anchor an AEC polygon with the opening surface to the window. The property set for our window spaces has a property that extracts the surface from that AEC polygon.

However, not all windows open or the opening surface may not be required. In that case of course no AEC polygon is anchored to the window space. That generates the error message *Anchor not found*, as shown in te picture below. Is there a way to change that error message and replace it for example with the number 0 ?

Window properties

A different way I think of to proceed would be to use the above property as a help property and create the final property that calculates the desired value from the extracted surface or error.

you can substitute your error message "*Anchor not found*" with "0"
it is very simple! you need to add in prorp. set def. formula
It is statement!
IF.... THEN ...ELSE
DETAILS DEPICEDT ON THE SCREENSHOT

in rectangular brackets is automatical property not typed manualy.

Thank you for the info. I will wait and see, but I think we would rather implement that sort of formula in Excel.
