I'm currently running the trial for Arnold in C4D for car rendering and the quality and speed is impressive. I have read that with an Arnold license, you only get the one render node. If you want to use TeamRender for example, additional licenses are required. Is this true?

Correct, Arnold is licensed per machine (as opposed to per CPU or per core). To distribute Arnold renders to a network of machines, an Arnold license is required for each machine. Each Arnold license comes with access to ALL Arnold plugins for all supported 3D applications (Cinema4D, 3ds Max, Maya, Houdini, Katana and Softimage).
