https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/alias-forum/screen-goes-black-after-fresh-install-on-alias-surface/m-p/5696669#M9000 <P>Ive just done a fresh install of windows 8.1 onto a new harddrive and Ive installed Alias Surface 2016 on it.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>When I load the program the splash screen comes up and does its usual thing but before the program actually loads up my screen goes black with just the cursor showing. I then have to do a hard reset by holding the power button down on the laptop and then restart it.
