    <description>&lt;P&gt;Official answer:&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks Shinji for reporting that issue.&amp;nbsp;I can reproduce the problem in 'Perpendicular' mode. Look out for a fix in future releases. For now, I can only ask you to use 'Parallel' insertion in such cases, that works fine.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Private side note:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am happy to hear from you and I hope you are well.       <title>Bug: Insert Edge Loop does not work as expected in sym modelling in some cases</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Steps to reproduce:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;place a subd body like a plane (I used 3x3)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;use symmetric modelling on the subd&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;if there is an edge loop sitting on the center line, delete it&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;use insert edge loop to insert an edge loop that goes across the center line&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Expected behavior: an edge loop is created that goes from one side to the other&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Current behavior: two edge loops are created and an edge is missing at exactly the center&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-left" image-alt="subdiv symmetric modelling bug.PNG" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/674008iD958793FF0DA4C9D/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="subdiv symmetric modelling bug.PNG" alt="subdiv symmetric modelling bug.PNG" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
