I cannot save the files.

I tried to save my file but it says
'The file could not be written to.
Check the permissions on the file.
FILE NOT STORED.'
In that case how could I save my works?

Hello,

This error can be caused for one of two reasons while performing a save operation:
1) During File->Save operation, you selected to save a new file to a directory where your user account does not have permissions to write a file.

2) During a File->Save As operation, you selected to save to an existing file to which your user account does not have permissions to over write that file.

In both cases, the solution is to select either a file or a location where your user account has proper write permissions.

Thank you for the reply. However, I have a student license for 3 years till 2022 and of course with serial numbers. In that case, should I ask to support team?

I don't believe the issue is with your Autodesk license or with Alias. I thin k the issue is with your user account (ie your Windows account) and the permissions it has to save files to certain locations. I believe you are trying to save a file to a directory that the operating system is protecting because your account does not have permission to save to that location.

Are you able to save files to that location using other software?

I just found I can save file only in C > studio data > alias > User data. Now it does work.

Yes when I used previous Alias version like 2018 or 2019, and Adobe products I could save my files in everywhere of my computer.

Anyway I sort it out because of your help. Thank you so much again!
