topic Can´t hide Default shelves with using CTRL + space - function in Alias Forum

When I´m using Alias on a Laptop while homeoffice I need to work on only ONE screen.
Usually I´m working on TWO screens - modeling on one while using the second one for all the other shelves I need.
In laptop-mode I use the function CTRL+space to hide "the second screen" which works as a kind of an overlay in front of the modeling window.
Unfortunately the Default shelves stays while hiding the other windows. In desktop-mode while using 2 screens this issue also occures.
The strange thing is when a export my prefsets and import them on different machines in the office this issues sometimes appears and sometimes not.
It seems to me that this is a bug somehow. I know that there´s somewhere on the HDD for alias a file which saves window position and sizes and everything.
While deleting this sometimes those bugs where deleted - but I need to reorganize all my layout - this can´t be the solution.

Can somebody help me?

Alias down not close the Palette, shelves, or embedded windows on Ctrl-spacebar.

You can have them close when you go into fullscreen via Layouts->FullScreen. if you specify the right options in the option box, you may get something close to what you want.

Thank you for your suggestion. I allready use this workaround with fullscreen modeling.

The CTRL+spacebar function worked for me until Alias 2018 ? I think..now I skipped to ALias 20/21 and I get this "bug".

It´s strange that doesn´t appear on other machines.

Thanks for your response.

Hi it's the same on my and alle the maschines of my collegues...

That's a really bad "feature" since Alias 2019 I think.

An other problem with CTRL + space --> the information window is down after the hide / show function and you have to close and reopen after every time using CTRL + space...

So you are not alone!
