Expand the selection tree to see which components on the drawing is unknown. It may be a view or a part number. Use this information to query the model and take it from there.

I have also previously encountered this, the solution is different everytime.

Ok, so I expand the node and it points to a BOM table which is empty.

I right click the table and update it.

The drawing still remains in the 'unknown' tree.

Hello Harry,

Can you try the following. From the document manager expand until you find the list again. Then right click to delete this object. Close the document manager and re-open. Check to see if it is still listed as unknown.

Please forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I noticed that the "Unknown" drawing title ends with "B-003.dwg" while the "Up to date" drawing title ends with "A-003.dwg". Are they actually the same drawing?

So back to the start "Actually, what does 'unknown' even signify"

Happens often. This is scary because I worry that if I delete them the drawings will also delete.

Its as if they are not registered in the model when they are.

AS please advise

Dont delete the whole drawing, just expand the nodes and see what's the problem.

I almost made that same mistake, but wtheron put me on the right track with his post above.
