I am struggling with one of my projects. In my project manager, I have two drawings I can't get rid of the updates required notice no matter how many times I use the forced update command. Also, the BOM (which I believe is related to the issue) appears to be somehow corrupted. All plate work in this project is 3/8" A36. Yet several lines in the BOM are being called out as PL0 x length x width. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have attached my model file and the two drawing files I can't update. As this is a rather small model (for me), I will attach all other drawings following this post. I can only attach (3) files at a time.

I'm using AS2024 USA build.

Thank you.

Ok, I'm a bit embarrassed here...

The issue with all of the BOM's reading the plate thickness incorrectly was my fault. I was playing with my units. When I switched to Fractional (inch) I neglected to set my precision. I believe it defaulted to 0.

I have that issue take care of, but I am still having an issue with the two drawings attached in my original post still requiring updates, but won't update.

The extra drawings were not required. Select a plate in your model and type "mo" and enter to show the properties. The plate is showing up in Name as "PL0" which means that the plates are being seen by Advance Steel as plates that have 0 (zero) thickness. When I tried drawing in a plate that is 1/2" thick, the plate thickness shows up as "PL1" which means that your project settings are somehow rounding the plate thicknesses up or down to the nearest inch.

I'm not sure how this happened or what settings you configured...

Edit: Answer in post below

Here is where you set the units for your project. They were not set to show precise values, they were set to the nearest inch.

Thank you! I did catch the unit precision error after I initially created the post.

I followed the link you provided for the update issues.

After reading through the link, I did unregister the problematic drawings, delete the .upd files, re-register the same drawings and did a forced update. That did seem to fix the issue.

Thank you for your timely assistance!
