Invert direction for multiple screws (direct bolt)

Dear community,

how can I invert the direction of multiple screws (direct bolt) on easy way? If I select more than one such connection to edit the direction for more screw at a time, I will not see the "Advance joint properties" menu. I can't use connection groups too often because I have very different profiles with different screws.

Here an example with the same connection :

Is there any system attribute for the screw direction that I could use in the command macro?

Don't select the boxes, select the bolts itself and then open the Advance properties.

If you select many parts by doing a rectangular selection, you could use the filter for bolts afterwards and then only the bolts are selected very fast

After selecting multiple screws (direct bolt), the invert option is grayed out in the advanced properties - this can only be changed for individual screws in Advance connection properties

how do you create the bolts? a joint or a brick of the customer joint category?

Hi,

Your best bet is to edit one Direct Bolt Joint and then use the Transfer Properties command to make the others match. See my blog on how to use that command.

The Graitec PowerPack for Advance Steel includes a "joint multi-edit" command on the right-click menu. Select lots of joint boxes (for matching joint types) then the multi-edit command and any changes you make in the box apply to all the selected joints at once. Even though they are NOT a joint group.

Depending on the UCS, if components (eg. profiles are mirrored, the screws direction are not mirrored but have the same direction, so you have to invert the direction - and Im looking for a solusion for that 😎

Have you tried bolting on gauge lines?

It may be exactly the same but worth a try?
