Numbering - Equal SP doesn't match number

Hi everyone

I've been working on this small truss beam but I couldn't figure out why exactly equal beam objects (done by copy/3D mirror) doesn't match the Single Part Number.

I already unchecked all the boxes in "Unique mark per object" Special section

e.g. SP N°4 is equal to SP N°5, maybe beacuse they have opposite angle? But still incoherent, look at the SP N°9 - SP N°37 (Bottom chord). See also the cross section, same truss vertical elements has different SP Number.

Sorry but maybe I misunderstand something.
Why should beam number 4 and 5 be the same?

I open your model and move a beam with number 4 near to the nr. 5 and the beams have different cuts and the endings...from my point of view, they're not the same:

You're right, I was touching everything trying to solve the problem and I maked a mess.

I think that I already solve what you said. But I still don't understand how it is working the numbering.

1.- If I have the same bar but, positioned differently. Does advance steel asign another Part Number for it? Look red colored beams on the image below

2.- Why some beam has the SP Numbering starting on 1, which is correct according with my configuration, and other ones start on 1000? Sorry but I don't see the software criteria here. See green square on the image

first question: the two beams. The problem here is: one beam is connected with other objects and the other not. So they have different number, because of their mainpart number. You could check the connected elements with:

There's a weld in the middle of your truss, which connect the beam:

second question:

you decide to use the post number method: SP No= Assembly No. that means, If an object has no attached parts, the numbering will set the singlepartnumber the same number like the assembly number.
Every object in Advance Steel need two numbers: singlepart and assembly number this is a "must have". So some users don't want to have 2 numbers if the object has no workshop attached parts.

I know this is comment which I often write, but: Advance Steel is not the easiest software to use. I always recommend to do a basic training on your local reseller. This will save you a lot of time

You clarified a lot off questions that I had.

The funny thing is that I did a three months course but, as you said, Advance Steel is not an easy tool and has a lot of features to learn.
