Using Sketchbook on Ipad 6th Gen. Wondering if there is a way to edit text once you have clicked done after entering it? I can resize and move it using the selection and transform tools but from what I can see the only way to edit the actual text itself is to delete the layer and start again which seems crazy! I would appreciate any advice if anyone has any.

Unfortunately, that is the only way to edit text on the mobile versions of SketchBook. (i.e delete layer) If can use the 'desktop' version of SketchBook, that option is available and is free.

Thanks so much David! I'm glad I wasn't missing something but such a shame that this feature is not yet available. Would be really useful especially for the times where you have a lot of text and realize there is a spelling mistake!

Thank you for sharing this description. The possible edition of text’ll allow good thing as to re-use the same text and make small updates in it, for instance, update format xxxx in the a publication’s date title xxxx/mm/dd. When would be that feature available on digital?

I can't edit text on Sketchbook. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but the help files and forum haven't helped me. In this case:

1. Editing text doesn't create a new layer; it adds to the existing one.

2. I don't see how to add new layers (all I have are background, foreground, and mid ground).

3. After entering text I don't have the advertised submenus in my layer windows; it only has an "eye" turn it on/off but nothing else.

What am I missing?

I have sketchbook 8.7.1 on a MacBook Pro.

Thanks!

- Peter

@Anonymous , @Anonymous For iOS, once you enter and 'bake' the text (basically start using a new tool), you can't edit the text in SketchBook. It is a 'paintable' object once it is in the canvas.

Ah! You are making an animated file via Flipbook. Flipbook only has access to 3 layers.

I would save your file and re-try with a 'normal' file and you should be able to access all the options noted in the video.

I see. I'm using the Flip Book so I can keep notebooks on different topics, and collect all of my sketches and notes together. I use it to give lectures to my classes and have research meetings (I am a physicist), and the flip-book option is great for keeping everything together in one file. Is there a better way than what I am using?

Are there any other features that aren't available to me in Flip-Books that I should keep in mind? It seems odd to make the flip-book version less powerful by default?
