Just a quick update- the scriptpro worked very well. It was a fairly simple interface to use, and it completed the task as advertised. The one drawback is that I haven't figured out a way to just select one folder, and have it apply the script to all of the drawings in and "below" that folder. Selecting each individual drawing that I want to open and update is tedious for a project with hundreds of drawings, but it still beats having to open each one.

Thanks again for the tip!

A while back, there was a post regarding errors that occur because of unregistered applications in the drawing registry
(http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4960874). Within the blog, there was an application that allowed a user to purge entire directories using an external executable, rather than opening each drawing individually, a kind of "batch purge" if you will. The routine was written for 2005. The program could be downloaded from http://c3dpavingtheway.blogspot.com/2005/08/regapps-file-corruption-problem.html. I was wondering if anyone has seen a similar program that can achieve the same results for 2007. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing that ScriptPro would do it.

Use this
(command "-purge" "_R" "*" "_N")

ScriptPro for 2007 is available at http://www.autodesk.com/migrationtools
One more "tip" maybe necessary then Andy:
http://www.multibatch.com/

I helped them "break" into the LDT SDI setting of 3, back in 2002-2003 - I
don't recall when it was at the moment.

I believe I sold Mr. Bouza on them a couple years ago also.

Their set of tools works great when you have a repetitious task of this
nature to accomplish.

They've got a trial version that works on three dwg files at a time that you
can download.

If you like the possibilities it's only US$39 for a single license, and the
price goes down from there.
