This issue started recently and I'm trying to figure out how to stop it.

I try to draw a line from a point to a set distance and using the mouse as a direction. The line won't follow the line - it will snap to some object depending on what my running object snaps are.

Below is a snap shot of me drawing from a point to 4 feet to where the crosshair is pointing ( I have Ortho set "on"). instead of drawing a straight line - it snapped to the box above. I've never encountered this issue before until recently and I've been working with AutoCAD for 20 years...I figure it's probably some object snap setting buried somewhere where I haven't found it yet. Does anybody know?

An alternate is to get used to toggling the F3 key on the fly. Works for me all the time.
