Hello,

I am brand new to 3d modeling in AutoCAD. I am making a sunken seatwall with a capstone overhanging it. I extruded the seatwall below grade, and the capstone above, but I can't figure out how to pull the caps out over the wall. In other words, I can only use Presspull in the Z direction, but I need to pull an object around the x and y axes as well. How do I do this?

Thanks,

Justine

Hi Justin,

Use the Viewcube or just simply orbit to orient the view, so that you can select both the surface and the direction. You can use presspull to either of the direction perpendicular to the surface. Make sure you have Dynamic UCS set to ON(F6).
