tema Block Hatch Order en AutoCAD Forum

Good Afternoon, first post on here, so forgive me if in wrong place,

Looking for some advice on a basic problem that has been annoying me for a few days.

I have a set of icons (blocks) that i created from scratch for my current employer a few years ago. I have been using them day i and day out no problem. I am using Autocad 2019. however some of my staff use older 2012 versions.

on a lot of occasions then they paste the icons (blocks) from our source library drawing into a new drawing the order of the hatching gets messed up and the icons hatching moves to the front over identification text etc.

to compound the problem i was working on a drawing that was originally created by one of my staff the other day and now the problem is occurring on my machine.

See images attached for reference, problem effects different icons (blocks) at different times, seems a bit random.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

so far I have tried...

Re-Making all blocks (was fine after on my machine but not on 2012)

Ensuring there are no overlaping hatches in each block

HPDRAWORDER is set to what for everyone? Look it up in HELP.

99% of the time a REGENALL otherwise fixes the display of hatches for low end graphics PCs that can't keep up with AutoCAD once the above setting is addressed.

Note: if the problem is limited to only the 2012 users it may be time to update them IMHO.

Good morning, thanks for the help so far...

All systems have HPDRAWORDER set to "3", problem is now also preminent on my machine too.

when legend is pasted in and radom blocks move hatch to the font ahead of text and polylines I have to manually move it back in block editor for each one.

the strange thing is, i have other legends for other things in the same source drawing, if i copy and paste the whole lot in (well in excess of x100 blocks) the few that usually mess up paste fine?? can;t understand it.

but i if paste those few in on their own (about x20 block) the hatching moves to front whithin block??

3 years and never a problem on my machine until yesterday.

No idea... again any help would be appreciated.

cheers

d.

Do you talk just about modell/Layout display, or also of plotpreviw and pdf/paper results?

You talk about DWG data, so please upload DWG samples!

Without DWG data we can not check by self.

File dependent systemvariables:

SORTENTS

DRAWORDERCTL

And make sure your product is fully updated: _VERNUM

P.162.0.0
