Thanks for your reply, John. Not about the cui interface. What i meant was (by accident) pressing the 'unload' button wrongly in MENULOAD or CUILOAD. I think working with a lisp is the only foolproof method.

Hi ,

I would like to have some advice and tips from users about the setup for a company based partial AutoCAD menu. I have made a neath CUI file with a the supported tools and buttons programmed. The only thing i am conerned about is the pocedure to load a partial cui file. What i have written down is that users should do this.

1. command "cuiload"

2. go to <install path>

3.load in the company.cui file

4. ok, done.

But i know myself that the use of the cuiload interface can have a very dangerous effect if, by accedient, push the wrong button and the WHOLE environment is screwed up. (Oops, i did'nt save that current state as .arg.. !)

What i am looking for is a rubust way to failsave foolproof load in a .cui for someone without much Autocad customizing background. Any advice? Thanks.

How about just having the users do a menuload? They shouldn't need to go into the CUIX to load a partial menu.

btw i find this new forum layout absolutely *not* an improvement so much empty white space, big useless buttons and non bottom info.
