Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

This wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Swapping 3D geometry can sometimes be a bit tricky and messy.

I worked on individual parts separately. I started with the hub pieces and used SMOOTH and SurfSculpt to turn them into solids. If they were stubborn I would first use a UNION.

The only parts I as uncertain about are the ones shown in this image. You could give them thicknesses or create them using AutoCAd SOLIDS but I wasn't sure how they were to interact.

I have attached my version of your file to look at.

Once you finish these four parts, you should be able to create nice and clean Viewbase views in your layout.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Editing Sketch From 3D Model

I am a new user of AutoCAD, with experience in SolidWorks. I am having trouble finding a way to edit my sketch once I have created a 3D model. I created a profile of a wheel, and then revolved it around a set axis. I want to go back and edit the dimensions of my sketch in order to resize my model, but I haven't found a way to do so. I must be missing something. In SoldiWorks, I could simply go to the drawing tree on the left of the screen, and edit specific sketches or extrusions, etc. This clearly does not work the same way in AutoCAD. Can anyone help me with this issue? It will probably take 30 seconds to explain the process.

Thanks!

Here is my drawing file. Also, could anyone tell me how to make this surface into a solid? I tried using the join function but it did not output what I wanted.

Thanks,

Alan

Your solution works for the most part! I actually needed the original hole there, with the different diameters as it went through to remain there. It's for a shoulder bolt and bearing. I just wanted to know why my part was not showing up as a solid piece when I went to make the drawing (No section lines on the cross section).

Thanks!
