Hello James,

I'm assuming you mean "AutoDesk" (the company) program.

For Architecture, AutoCAD is the simplest to start off with. It'll give you a good introduction to AD's other programs, and is relatively good for accurate 2D drawings. Many contractors in our region use it for plans and simple elevations.

For larger projects of more complexity, I'd highly recommend Revit. Revit is easy to get in to, harder to master, but will overall save you time in every situation. Often the products are bought together.

If you're looking for tutorials or training instead, Youtube is a great place to start. You can also try online course websites (ex. Lynda.com) for a more structured instruction.

Yours truly,

MC

Let us know in which branch you'd like/need to work. It makes a difference if you are working with architecture, mechanical engineering (e.g. automobile), infrastructure, some artistic design etc...

Well, in that case take a look to AutoCAD Architecture >>>click<<< (fully based on AutoCAD) or Autodesk Revit >>>click<<<.

They both are more specific to architectural design.
